Save a Pages document to open in Word 2007

• In Pages
• Open the document
• Click file
• Then export
• Select as doc

 

At school we use Office 2007

The file extension is .docx

In compatibility mode the extension is .doc

If you save work at school in compatibility mode you should have no problem opening up your document in Pages
